Ramya profile

Ramya Bhaskar, Founder

Ramya is a Program manager with over 13 years of experience leading global transformation projects, capability deployments and strategic initiatives. She is an engineer by education and a mentor by passion. She strives to implement a regime of “continuous improvement” and actively works on internal processes to a lean model.

Her Mentoring journey started in 2017 and she found her drive to be part of more community programs. As a passionate mentor, she is a part of a few mentoring programs run by NGOs where she guides young girls/students navigate through their career and lead them towards their goals. She has also successfully led a mentoring program with 25 diverse participants as a part of a Women’s network group in Singapore. She also gives Mentoring talks to inspire her fellow mentors on how mentee relationships can last a life.

Ramya is a firm believer that young girls empower the world and need support in cruising through their career and challenges. This was also the core reason she took up mentoring as her passion project.

In her free time, she loves to read contemporary novels, cook for her family, and spend time with them amidst nature. She recently published a book “MyVoice” as a co-author about her Mentoring journey in one of Amazon’s best sellers.

Sahana Bapu, Co-Founder

Sahana is an Operations and Program Management Specialist in the IT industry with over 15 years of global experience.

She is a certified in Project Management and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. She has had the opportunity to work extensively in areas such as Process Transition, Critical Deployments and Process Improvements along her journey. She is a firm believer of questioning the status quo & thereby streamlining & simplifying Operations processes. She has had an opportunity to work in India, Malaysia and Singapore & currently based in Canada.

On a personal front, Sahana is mother of twins who keeps her on her toes. In her free time, she loves to cook for her family/friends, read fiction books and loves music and dance. She is a trained Indian classical dancer and has given various performances during her stint across the region.

Sahana holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce and is currently pursuing her Master of Business Administration from SP Jain Institute of Management. She has been an active member of Primetime Singapore since 2020 co- leading & managing volunteer programs. She has recently joined Wedu as an active mentor & is looking forward to learning along with mentoring.

Han Thu Thu (Katherine) - Marketing Specialist

Katherine is an undergraduate student majoring in Bachelor of Business Management. As a passionate youth who is interested in leadership, social entrepreneurship, and volunteering, she was involved in several community projects to make a positive impact on society by joining ASEAN – Australia Strategic Youth Partnership, Global Shaper, Wedu, AIESEC in Myanmar, and Youth Society for Education. She has over 1-year internship experience and is currently undertaking 2 remote jobs from the US.

Moreover, as she focuses on continuous learning, she has a strong will for learning new things and upgrading herself every day. With her passion to make positive changes for society, she is always willing to contribute and commit to a profound impact on the society.

Being a Rising star at a non-profit organization, she got to improve her leadership skills and pursue her SMART goals. She believes that mentorship is a part of the journey for the youths to reach their dreams and would like to help youths to get access to mentorship.

Deki Yangzom - Admin Co-ordinator

Deki, from Bhutan, has recently completed her Postgraduate Diploma in Administration. She has worked in the field of education and also with the Film Association of Bhutan as an intern which helped her to enhance her knowledge of media besides her field of degree.

With her strong believe in volunteerism, she has been an active peer-educator of YPEER during her college days. After graduation, she co-membered Live Now, running since the beginning of 2020. As the pandemic worsened, she worked to gather positive, inspiring stories throughout the Asia Pacific and shared them on social media. Representing Live Now, she worked with UN Aids, and Youth Lead to organize events such as photography, videography, and painting competition during the one-month celebration of International Youth Day 2021. Furthermore, she joined M4M (Me for Myself) international campaign to spread awareness and advocacy on mental health.

Of many things, she acknowledges that being a Rising Star at Wedu helped in become who she is today. Her mentors have helped her narrow her goals, align activities and set it clear.
